Using Google to search a specific site with “site:website searchterm”

Google the contents of a site by including “site:website.com” in your search term

Why

Sometimes you want to find a post or page from a single site.  Google is great for searching the entire internet, but you may get frustrated when looking for if you already know the site the page is on.  Just include “site:” and then desired website, then your search term.

This is especially useful if you’re following a specific blog, or maybe saw a post on a forum out there.  Google’s algorithms get better everyday, and sometimes it is actually quicker to use Google to search a website than it is to use the website’s search feature.
