|If you find your computer is dragging along, it might be time to go into the Control Panel and uninstall some programs.
Over time, we collect a lot of junk. Just look around your house/apartment. If you’ve been there awhile, you probably have a lot of stuff that’s just collecting dust and getting in your way.
The best thing you can do is some regular cleaning. Purge the stuff you never use anymore and make some room to move around. Your computer is no different. Over time, you will have collected a plethora of useless toolbars, picture sharing software, a PDF reader that you needed to open some pesky file, and iTunes, which was for your iPod mini from 2008
So what we’re going to do is go to your “Start Menu” and type in “Programs and Features” in the search box.
This should bring up a list of all of your installed applications. Go through the list, and anything that you don’t remember using, or that you know you have no need of, just uninstall it. I know it can be daunting to throw stuff out, but if you never use it, it’s probably for the best.
Pro tip: Remember, if you don’t know what an application is, or can’t remember installing it, Google the name of it. And if all else fails, feel free to ask a question over at www.imyourtechguy.com and I’ll be sure to answer it for you!
